Amigurumis

I found a new love! It's Amigurimi... :)

Crocheting is addictive. Making amigurumi dolls is hyper addictive. I didn't have the confidence that I could make one. But once I got the hang of it, it was quite easy and I made not just one but several of them.

This Kokeshi was the first I made following the head and body pattern that I found  HERE.

 This little bunny is my absolute favourite of all...

I guess it gets better from here and hopefully I'd be able to start selling them too.

Dear Lily

You were a girl with a mighty heart, loved by all and a joy to be around. 

Your passing hit us hard. We are still dealing with,

and getting used to not seeing you anymore. 

Making this little doll reminded me so much about you,

Your beautiful long golden brown hair,

Your lovely bright demeanor,

And makes me feel like you are still here.

I am sure you are happier where you are now,
free from pain and suffering. 

But we miss you,
and wish we had longer time together here. 

** Lily was a very good friend of mine and many other from work. She passed away last December after battling tuberculosis for many months.
